Three server resilient hosting
Enterprise level hosting is across three servers and four versions of the site - a code development and testing site, a content development and approval site and the live site. In parallel a dynamically replicated site sits on another server in a separate geographic location on another backbone node.
This means that code changes can be fully tested in real conditions on the development server - content changes can be approved in the context of a mirrored live site and the live site is untouched.
Should live site 1 go down remote DNS monitoring redirectes requests to live site 2 ensuring the site is always available.
